 Proposal Presentation

    For my Intermediate New Media in Art Final Project, I will be documenting and digitally archiving my Senior Exhibition using social media. My main motivation for this project is because I want a more contemporary way to show others my past work, be able to see what my past self was thinking while making the art, and as well as dipping my toes into digitally editing. 

    My plan for this project is to use either TikTok or Instagram as a platform and space to upload one-minute long videos of my senior exhibition. I want to experiment with the types of videos I make. Some ideas I have is doing time lapse of me painting and drawing, doing voice overs of me explaining my process, using different audios or no audios on videos, and I am open to any suggestions that come my way as I work on this project. I plan to post at least 1-2 videos a week and keep the viewers updated on new progress I am making on my exhibition. 

    My timeline is by the 14th I will have a my social media pages set up, a posting schedule, and a few video plans outlined. By the 28th I will have 2 videos a week posted. I would like one to be educational and one to be entertainment. Then by May 14th I would like to have a video fully explaining what my exhibition is and having about 3 videos a week as the deadline comes closer.

    I'm hoping this project will strengthen my video editing skills as well help me understand what aspects make a good video and the appropriate proportion on image, music, and text a video can have. I'm hoping the book "Images-Music-Text" and peers will give me ideas, critiques, and feedback to help me make quality videos that please the viewer and myself.
